That is so brave of your girl! It took my elder boy almost a month to stop crying! I hope my younger son will be as tough as your little girl! And how thoughtful she is to ask you to go back to work, she really loves you as she don't want you to feel lonely at home! Sweet little girl.

I think that after getting over the initial feeling of emptiness in the house, you must hv had a sense of relief to be able to sit down with a cuppa and enjoy the quiet time. ;) Juz kidding ya.

I wuz a perky lil kid, and i remembered enjoying my 1st day in school with new clothes, a nice bag, new water bottle, new tupperware and many new friends. It was a joy! Even told my mom told leave me alone to play with my friends lolz

I don't remember if I cry on the first day of school in Kindergarden. I will tell you that I cried when my kids started Kindergarden though! I had tissues and I was crying as I was walking out the school and to the car. :o(

Aww, isn't she sweeeeet to worry about her mom getting lonely? She's so understanding and thoughtful for a 5-year-old.

My son didn't cry at all coz he was too busy playing to feel scared. I was a bit worried initially (He was only 2+) but now I'm just happy that he enjoys nursery so much!

Oh dear.. I just hate first days. When they cry, you just feel like an awful mother abandoning them at a strange place!! I'm gonna have to put my youngest in playschool soon too, and it will also be quiet at home. I think that's why I'm stalling!

I almost did! I still can remember how my mom transferred from my older sister's room to my room just to check on both of us on our first day of school. I see her looking by the window to give me a sign that she's going back to see my sister. And I remember this little boy who wants me to cry saying, "Look! you're mom is leaving! You can cry now with them." But I didn't...

My little boy did! On his first day of school until about a three months after, I was with him inside the room or else he wont come to school! He was 4years old then.

My mom told me that when she took me to kindergarten that first day, I actually turned around and told her to go, but to remember to go back and pick me up afterwards when it's time to go home. =)
