Now, after looking at it over and over again, I still couldn't make out what she drew. I asked her what it was and she said, "I'm not telling you. You have to guess mommy." Oh great. I looked at the picture and still, no idea.
I asked her if it was a monster. She gave me this "you have got to be kidding me" look. No? Okay, I continued to guess many other possibilities. A warrior, a dancing girl, a fish, her sister (she laughed when I said this), her brother when he's mad, and a flower. I told her I gave up. Before she told me what it was, she asked if I liked the drawing again. I told her "of course". The answer? It's a birthday cake with candles all around.

I can see birthday cake after you gave me the answer. To me it looked like a table (u-shaped) with food on it and a chandelier above.
Have to admit I saw the same things as JoeyRes. Looked to me like some kind of hot pot with sticks of food...
When I first looked at it I thought it was a table with food and chairs and a light hanging above the table. That is a wonderful birthday cake your daughter made. HAVE A BLESS DAY!!! :)

WOW - you've got an inventive child. When I first looked at it I saw a person in a skirt! But then that's because I was trying to apply "normal" perspective. Now that I have the answer of course it's a cake.

Of course it's a cake with candles! I could totally tell! Heh. I love kids' drawings. I especially love it when they hand it to you with the words, "I made it for you, Mommy." :)

For a child to sit down and draw a birthday cake for
her mom just shows what a thoughtful child she is. I thought it was a person wearing a costume. But yes, in looking at it after the answer, I can see your daughter's perspective of a cake. What a darling little girl.

I thought it looked like a table setting and chairs. It's so hard when they ask you to guess and you just don't see it. been there so many times.
I guessed table and chairs as well. No matter what, its a picture to cherish!
