The second best part is they love to eat what I eat..well...almost. My youngest daughter is a bit of a picky eater but the eldest one, she's like my clone. We both have very versatile palate. I think I've mentioned it before in my previous post about my eldest daughter being such an easy eater that when she was a toddler, she surprised everyone by drinking Chinese herbal medicine for her persistent cough.
What we enjoy to do most is baking! We've attempted red velvet cupcakes:

And chocolate cupcakes:

I think it's important to start kids to enjoy cooking while they're young. For one, they learn about healthy eating and nutrition, and secondly, they won't be afraid to cook and know how to cook when they grow up. I have a handful of girlfriends who don't know how to cook or are afraid to cook because they were raised in homes where their moms did all the cooking and cleaning. I'll just end it here. Don't want to talk about other people's problems.
Have a wonderful weekend all!

Wow! Mouth watering cupcakes!!! You are so right- girls need to learn how to cook from young. My daughter would jump for joy everytime I mention that I'm baking cupcakes. She loves the decorating part of course and would help me out. But then she would sometimes make a mess or spoil my cupcakes but it's OK with me. I just want her to learn how to do it.
@TK - Same here, I let my girls know their mistakes are not a big deal but that it's important to learn from them.
Wow..those cupcakes are just delicious looking!
I would love that free back rub and massage! How cute!
I do not like sweets, but chocolate is my favorite flavor! Those cupcakes are so inviting!
I have heard some parents say it's better to have girls as kids as they tend to stick around when the parents grow old...versus the boys. Girls tend to take care of their parents.
@Icy BC - I love cupcakes especially with a good plop of frosting.
@Ebie - I just love them free massages.
@Mei - I think it's true. Friends that I know, it's the daughters that take care of their elderly parents.
Yummy Cupcakes. That's great. They take turns giving a massage. Really cute...:)
Happy Sunday!:)
Hey Rose! It feels nice to be back on the web. Sorry for being away for so long. Can you send some of those cupcakes over. I'd really love to find out how they taste like... not to mention that I'm hungry as hell. =)
Have a blessed weekend!
Ryhen
wow..wish my girl would do that.. but she always massages my fingers when we are in church while listening to the sermon.. :p
Nice to have free massage. Somemore it is from your lovely girls. The cupcakes looks so yummy. Can I have a bite? Hehe.
I need a massage! : )
I don't fancy cupcakes, prefer cakes! : )
How sweet of your daughters to take such great care of you! And the cupcakes, oh my, they looked so delicious. I think its great for young children to learn to cook. They can start out by helping out and soon they will be able to cook and bake. I always loved having my daughter as my "assistant"!
Reading this post of yours really warms me up, make me wanna have a daughter or two, but then again,,, guess it will be kind of late for me already, i am 44 and my lovely wife is 40..............
hey you have a great week ahead,ya..will be back visiting again
Ooh, those red velvet cupcakes look yummy! I've been meaning to try to make some...
Isn't that the greatest --when the little ones give you a massage? I get Z to sit on my back and pound away with her little fists. She packs a wallop and it feels so good. :)
Wow! You sure do have sweeties for children. Lucky you! My granddaughter is an extremely picky eater. We can't get her to eat any vegetables or fruits. Those cupcakes look amazing!
yuuuuumm. I love red velvet cupcakes with their delicious cream cheese frosting!
I know that feeling of little hands pinching shoulders. :) unfortunately, my 5 year old wants to give me a "makeover" more than a massage. The makeover usually involves tearing my hair out with a brush!
